Cheltenham Festival Day 3

A bit of theory first….

Races at the Cheltenham Festival are often run at a fast gallop and present a thorough test at the distance. 

While not unique to the Festival, many of the races contested by horses away from the Festival are small field, uncompetitive races which present a different test to that which horses will face come Cheltenham.

Focussing on horses who in the past have produced their best under ‘Cheltenham conditions’ and looking past collateral form, horse against horse finsihing position in races which haven’t been run at a true gallop.

Applying this thinking to Thursday’s Cheltenham Festival races, I’ve picked out the horses who have produced their best efforts when they have been faced with a thorough test, conditions they hopefully encounter on Thursday. Current Betfair to back odds listed.
